Don’t forget to recycle your… Telephone Books Phone books are made from trees. A lot of trees! According to banthephonebook.org, the production of phone books cut down up to 5 million trees each year. Sandhills Middle Goes GreenThe Green Team at Sandhills Middle School works hard each week to ensure recycling paper is occurring in each classroom. The Green Team, comprised of 10 to 12 students, led by our very own Mr. Green, travel to each classroom every Friday to complete a Recycling pickup. Each teacher has a decorated (by our GT Art students) bucket which house the recycled paper. We will continue in our efforts to spread the message of how important it is to recycle.
Question of the Week: What did you do in the snow?
I made a snowheart!
My family had fun building a 7 foot tall snowman with a green sombero, charcoal eyes and nose, and a gumball smile! -Maria Bolen I had to drive to Mrytle Beach in the blizzard of 2010. I didn't even get to have a snow ball fight! However, I've never seen snow on the shoreline before, so that was way cool! -Genevieve Sloan
Friday was my husbands birthday. We had a party planned with all our friends but… we were snowed in! To celebrate my sister walked over and we built a snowman, had a snowball fight and let our weiner dogs run in the powdery snow!

My husband and daughter went outside during the snow "storm." I finally was able to brave the rough conditions on Saturday morning by helping Peyton (my daughter) throw snowballs at her Daddy.
